  • Cleansing Herbs. I bought the cleansing herbs to treat uterine fibroids with the aim of hopefully reducing them or completely getting rid of them. I have so far had five yoni steams. I had three back to back right before my period. I must say that my period was more painful than normal once it arrived. On day two I had deep red, dark blood and a few clots that were bigger and darker than usual. After the clots passed, the period pain subsided. I also had an unexpected result which was that right after steaming I have at least one additional bowel movement per day which is great. I do not know if or whether anything is happening with the fibroids. I will need to wait and see after my next cycles. In the meantime, I have had no negative effects that I know about from steaming. I find the experience relaxing and soothing. I only wish I had more own yoni seat instead of squatting but I will work on that.
